Exchange Transactions Logs NOT being purged - vmWare ABR12U3

Hi Support,
Using ABR12u3 Build 3689
This weekend, I ran out of drive space on our exchange 2010 server. On closer examination I found tha there are over 100GB of transaction log files that have not been purged since 10th August.
The exchange server is a VM on vmWare ESXiv6.5.
Until 10th August I was backing up the Exchange server as a VM and not application aware. At that point the Acronis Windows Agent was NOT installed on the Exchange server. Unfortunately using this method, I did not have the option to restore individual mailboxes or mail items. After posting on this group, I was advised that I needed to install the Acronis Windows Agent on the exchange server and the server would appear in Devices as Microsoft Exchange. I could then setup an application aware task that would allow this mailbox and email restores. I did this and it allowed me to do this fine.
I now find that since that day, the transaction logs are not being purged.
What do I need to do to ensure that the transactions logs are purged during the daily backup?

Hi Ramil,
In the link you have sent, it states, "Leave this option Disabled"
- If you use Agent for Exchange or third-party software for backing up the Exchange Server data. This is because the log truncation will interfere with the consecutive transaction log backups.
As I mentioned above, I have the Agent installed on the Exchange server.
Will this not cause a problem?

Any chance of a response to this?
In two places in the manual it is written that Full VSS should be disabled if Agent for Exchange is installed.
I have Agent for Exchange installed on the Exchange 2010 VM yet the Logs are not being truncated. Can you confirm that if I enable Full VSS for the Exchange 2010 VM, Logs will be truncated and it will not cause any issues in terms of "interfere with the consecutive transaction log backups" as per the link you sent.

Enable VSS full backup. It will not "interfere with the consecutive transaction log backups" because 12.5 does not have such functionality.

Hi Ramil,
Because I did not get a response, I spoke to your support team and they told me to upgrade to v12.5. Unfortunately, the Upgrade from v12 to v12.5u1 is failing the installation. It was stuck on 48% for a considerable amount of time, so I cancelled the upgrade. Now the repair does not seem to be successful.

I have now managed to upgrade from v12 to v12.5 update 1. I have done another Exchange backup, but the transaction logs are still not being purged.
Do I need to enable Full VSS Backup on v12.5 ??
