Thread needs solution

Howto create backup filenames with timestamp?

I want to have names in that convention:

[Plan Name]-DD-MM-YYYY.tibx

Hi,

The date and timestamp is added to backup archive file name automatically if you select Backup Format->Version 11 in Backup Options, while creating a new backup plan. For backup format v12 it's not possible to define such variable - we plan to add this feature in future versions; internal feature ID: ABR-131367.

Thank you.

Hi,

The next version of Acronis Backup 12.5 is planned for the next year only, and there are chances that this feature won't be included into scope of initial release.

Can you please clarify why you need timestamps on the archive file names, e.g. how you would use these in your workflows? Note that a single file of archive of v12 format may contain multiple backups (recovery points) inside it, so even if you add a timestamp to this archive file name, then it would match only the first backup. Hence I'm asking to understand the actual scenario.

Thank you.
