Hello jeyaseelan,
thanks for posting your question on Acronis forums!
Since the virtual machine is agentless, you can either reassign the whole host (with Virtual Appliance) to that unit or move this VM from this host to another host which could be registered (or already registered) under the required Unit.

Hi jeyaseelan,
Since I don't have an Acronis VM licence, I can only guess that the register tool is in a similar location for that agent. Try searching the Program Files folder for the RegisterAgentTool folder.
I also found an older forum post detailing the various ways you could register a VM: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-backup-125/register-esxi-appliance-unit

Hi,
As Maria correctly mentioned above - it's not possible to manage a single VM from some child unit, if the Agent for VMware/Hyper-V (which discovers this VM) is registered under root "Organization" unit. Please also see my comments in the following thread (also describes how to use RegisterAgent tool): https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-backup-125/addition-esxi-desired-unit
Thank you.

Hi Vasily,
I moved one of ESXi host unit from "Organization" to other Unit, but still the related VMs are showing the "Organization" unit, it not change to the ESXi host unit.
Any work around i need to do for the change the VMs unit
Thanks

Hi,
Once you register corresponding Agent for VMware under some child unit, the VM instances discovered by this agent will become managable from this unit AND you'll be able to "see" and manage these VMs from root "Organization" unit which is expected.
In the next major update for Acronis Backup 12.5 we will be adding capability to register the same vCenter/ESXi host under 2 sibling units (2 different child units under the same "Organization" unit), where the corresponding Agents for VMware (2 agents registered under 2 units) can connect to vSphere using different vSphere account credentials and thus potentially providing different list of VMs in each of the units - the visibility into vSphere can be defined on vSphere accounts level.
We're planning this update for the end of this year, however ETA is not finally defined yet (no final commitment yet).
Can you please also clarify which exact scenarion you're trying to solve? May be there are some alternative ways instead of trying to manipulate with ESXi hosts registration under units.
Thank you.

Hi Vasily,
Thanks for your replay, i issue is, in my plant we have Physical (with Agent) and VM (without Agent), so customer want to segregate by unit, i have attached the snapshot of our Acronis server.
As per you previous replay i moved the VM host Virtual Appliance under without Agent unit (which is marked as green color), but still the resepectie VM machines are under root "Organisation" only (which is marked as red color)
Please advise how to change the VM machine under unit to without agent.
Thanks
Jeyaseelan

Hi,
On the screen shot the VMs marked in red are bind to other agents, for example "P2STN43" VM is bind to "P2VCL01-CH02-ESX04-..." agent which could be result from the fact that the agents for VMware are connected to vCenter and thus can discover all the VMs on the vCenter -> there will be redistribution of VMs across all the agents.
In your case it makes sense to contact our support team to properly review the current environment configuration and make adjustments to the setup (for example re-connect Agents for VMware directly to corresponding ESXi hosts and register them under proper Unit).
Thank you.

Hi Vasily,
Thanks for your replay, Yes your are right, when i try to transfer the "P2VCL01-CH02-ESX03..." host from organisation to without agent unit, i deleted the the host and added once again as per your previous replay, while i am deleting the respective host, the VM's are automatically assigned to other host, after adding the host i try to change the VM's assignment manually, i couldn't see the host which i added, i can able see the host which is under organisation unit only.
Please advice
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
Please contact our support team for further assistance. The particular environment setup needs to be reviewed in details before making any further actions. It's hardly possible to properly troubleshoot such complicated issues via forum I'm afraid.
Thank you.
