ABR Virtual Edition 2011 Backup Validation Too Slow
We are using ABR VE 2011. Backup task has a valitadion task after incremental backup. Backup task completed fastly and successfully; but validation process takes too much time (about 500 kb/s on a NAS drive takes 1-2 hours). I know somewhat slowness normal in 100 mbit network environment. But is that too slow isn't that?

Just one full backup. Size is 60 gb. I know that operation validates whole chain. But that slowness seems to me abnormal. Or am I wrong?
Another thing: Validation task should be done after every task finish? Or for example once a week is ok? Because it's really takes too long. Which way do you prefer?

Even if the 'chain' it one incremental long, it includes the large full, and the whole full is read over the network and validated too as a part of the chain. 500 kb/s for a 60 GB full backup would have taken about 40 hours. If it takes two hours, it's around 8 Mb/s - more or less right for a 100 mbit.
Is it possible to set up the validation on a box that is closer n terms of network bandwidth (or as it's VE it has Storage Node that can execute validation too for its managed vaults)?
Regarding validation schedule - it turns out that regular 'conversion to virtual machine' is another useful way to test disk archive integrity.

Excuse me for wrong information; 60 gb validation task took longer than a day; finaly at %75 I cancelled the task. An 7 gb image that took 2 hours (in the same way, finally at %47 I cancelled).
I've one physical server and one basic nas drive (western digital sharespace). Nas drive and server are located very close location eachother and connected directly the network (actually I was thinking about connect via usb instead of network). I've no any storage node or managed vaults...
Unfortunately I have no more disc space or another server or storage for the conversation. Than, how can I to do test disk archive integrity?
