ABR10 12457 does not restore a backup from 11639

Hi,

i have a recently backup of my crashed machine created with 11639 to ext. usb disk.
After i reinstalled the machine i tried to restore some of the files inside the *.tib to a free partition.

I created a winpe 3.0 with 12457, booted from this disk and started a restore action.
At the point i select the backup tib file the cursor is doing nothing for a very long time.
i stopped after 10 Minutes ..

Now i use the old 11639 linux cd and i can select the tib file, after about 10 seconds i can select the files and restore.

Is there any problem with the build 12457 under winpe 3.0?

Thank you for opening the thread with such a detailed description. I understand your concern and will be glad to assist you.

I've carefully checked our internal resources, and found no known issue that would match your description. WinPE 3.0 was implemented in the previous - 11639 - build. It's hard to say for sure, but the issue looks like some drivers glitch. Anyway, the situation requires investigation. Could you please do the following in order to localise the issue? 

  1. Check whether the media was created according to the following instructions
  2. Download and burn the latest updated media from your account, and see whether it makes any difference
  3. Where the image is located
  4. What was backed up (partitions or files)

After that please kindly contact support directly with the information attached. Keep in mind that should there be any procrastination with the reply, you can always specify us the case number. We will do our best to speed up the process.
