ABR10: Management Console Alerts

Thread needs solution

Is there any way to force alerts to go away/hide in the Dashboard view of the Management Console?

For instance right now I have:
1. Bootable media was not created
- Don't want to see this. I made the media from a different machine.
2. No backups have been created on 2 machine(s)
- Don't want to see this. It includes VMware ESX servers in the list, and those don't get backed up directly by ABR, so it is an erroneous message.
3. Not connected to management server for : 1 machine(s).
- Another erroneous alert. All machines are connected and working fine.
4. It is recommended to back up the management server to protect its configuration...
- True. I am backing it up. But it is in a VM so I don't NEED to install the agent.

See what I mean? Those alerts are never going to go away, and are meaningless. I should be able to acknowledge/hide them.

Hello Jason Bottjen,

Thank you very much for your post. I will certainly assist you with this issue.

At the moment our software does not have the option to hide such type of alerts but I will definitely submit an enhancement request to our Development team, so that this inconvenience is resolved in a future release of our software.

Please accept my apologies for the trouble.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

We are having the same issue/request. Please let the devs know that this is something that would be useful to do. Thanks.

Hello Mark James,

I appreciate your post and I would like to thank you for your feedback.

I will definitely forward your request to our Development team as well, so that future versions of our software have this option enabled.

Thank you.

Is there any news whether it is possible to remove these false alerts i na more recent build of the 2010 version, or if this will perhaps be possible in the 2011 version?

We would also like to see this resolved. Even a registry flag to toggle these would be fine. Thanks.
