Hugo,

When you mention 'full backup' is this a complete disk or individual partitions selected to make a 'complete disk' ?

Have you ever managed an image with the setup you currently have? If you have, have you deleted or moved any part of the archive?

I recall someone mentioning a problem with external drives greater than 1TB, but I might be misrembering.

Is the external drive USB or Firewire and have you deleted the scheduling software that comes with some WD external drives, again, I recall that if the software is installed, it confuses the home version of TI so might also the corporate version.

Is the task started manually or by schedule, if by schedule, will it start manually and if you create a new task does it then work?

Is build 13545 a typo?

Yes i have managed to make a backup with this before and i selecting the whole partitions or disks for backup not individual files or folders, the external drive is currently clean with no backup data on it.
The build is not a typo, the external drive is USB, no western digital software is installed. And the task is by schedule and i have recreated the task many times but land up with the same result.
Please see attachment.
Thank You Colin

Hugo,

Do you have Micorosft Exchange running or a database of some kind?

If you make a single partition task, do they all fail or just one particular partition?

im running MS Exchange, im attempting to do a backup at the moment its just going to take awhile to "complete" will give you an update on that later, currently im attempting the backup on only 1 of the drives not all of them :/ *holding thumbs* 32%

I've made a backup of a couple servers and move this backups from an external disk to another external disk, at that time I didn't copy the .meta data folder.
Now Acronis doesn't reconized the files, I've search and findout that the meta folder are important but i doesn't have them anymore.
When I've try to validate vault to rebuild the meta data folder, Acronis don't recreate them.
I've try to validate files and doesn't work either.
The files are there but when I try to restore with Acronis,"Specified File Does not exist. System cannot find the specified file"
Please help!

Leonardo,

I think you need to edit your Vault(s) so that new disk information is rewritten into the missing XML files and then your tasks to point to the new vault information.

You might also need to recatalogue the archive or run a task so that it adds a new image to the archive.

Does using the recovery media allow you to restore images?

During recovery attempt it should recreate the meta folder for archives in the vault (in case if it can't, like read-only share, it works without it too). It's a valid case for example for restoring from archives made by Echo (version 9.5) .

I get this error with acronis 2015 and Windows 10. I use a Western Digital MyPassport external drive . I have been unable to get Acronis to work since I upgraded to Windows 10.

Hello bobj2361,

Please check these two articles:

Please be aware, that Acronis True Image 2015 has been successfully tested on Windows 10 Insider Preview. I would suggest testing Acronis True Image 2016, which has the full support of Windows 10.

Thank you,
