ABR11 Cannot restore win2008 gpt to wmware workstation
I have a server IBM X3650 M2 with 3 discs configurated in raid 5 mode. The server has UEFI support. On this server windows server standard 2008 SP2 64 bit (Build 6002) is installed. The disc is configurated as base disc in GPT format with 3 partitions: the first "EFI system partition", the second "Unit C boot system primary partition", the third "Unit E primary partition".
I installed ABR11 with universal restore (build 17217).
I tried to make the backup of the whole disc with post conversion in wmware workstation format. The backup and the post coversion have beed completed successfully, but the resulting virtual machine does not startup in wmware workstation 7.0 with boot error "mbr error 1" and "mbr error 2".
As per ABR11 user manual the resulting virtual machine should always have the disc in SCSI interface and base volumes in MBR, but the virtual machine created has IDE interface and the virtual disc is in GPT format again.
Is it a bug of ABR11?
