ABR11 & RHEV3 & Remote Disaster Recovery
The prospect has a single Fedora 13 server running email for 13 domains domains. These are his subsidiaries domain and is not a commercial hosting provider. The email load is not exceptionally high and is on the below average side.
Although his single server setup has been running stably for a few years, he now wants to take steps to prevent a single point of failure. He plans to build a separate site for DR for an active-passive DR/HA solution.
I'm planning a P2V solution. As a newbie to Acronis I'm not sure what I need..
The plan is to continuously backup the physical server to a virtual image at the remote DR location. If any thing goes wrong with the primary site, the DR site's image will take over.
Some questions:
1. Do I need RHEV in 2 locations?
2. Do I need ABR11 in 2 locations?
3. Do I need an extra server in each location, running RHEL/RHEV and ABR11?
