abr_universal_restore feature is disabled
I am getting this error when I am trying to restore the backup on the target machine : abr_universal_restore feature is disabled. Error: 0X640012.
When I am restoring normally, everthing gets restored normally but when I am using "Universal restore", I am getting above error immediately(without restoring anything).
I am working on Windows7 and hardware for the source machine and target machine is different(few drivers are different).
Does anybody know about this problem? Any help is appreciated.

If you not able to see "Acronis Universal Restore" checkbox, how exactly you are using it (as in the first message)? If you don't have license for Universal Restore (which you can check in help->about) you wont' be able to use it.

I pressed 'Apply universal restore' button on the start screen. I select OS and then click OK then it gives the error shown in first forum but when i clcik restore, then on the screen I am not able to see "Acronis Universal Restore". Bootable DVD is given to me , by other team. So, I don't know what and all they have installed. I mean I am not sure about AUR is installed. What should I see in help->about?

In case of media you can't make it show the exact license, but if it complains about missing feature, it most likely was created without Universal Restore license.

First of all I should thank you for giving me answers , patiently.
Now, I have got a new Acronis DVD. When I boot through this DVD in PE enviornment, I am getting errors as attatched....
My question is , how do I go ahead to purchase license? How much the license costs? Also, what will be the validity of it?
Seeing below messages, I think Universal restore is installed but not activated through license.
What do you suggest? thanks in advance.
