Acronis 11, Nimble Storage, Space Issues

Here is my situation. We have about 10 jobs that are sent to Sweden for DR purposes.

Full backup once every 6 months
Incremental Daily

Some of the full backups take a TREMENDOUS amount of time to FTP to Sweden. Can this be done:

Set a retention period for 45 days, KEEPING the original full backup, Keeping the newer Incremental backups, but deleting the OLD Incremental jobs? So if I had to restore a server, I can use an Incremental job that was taken say 5 months after the full backup?
