Hello,
My Environment:
- Windows server 2008 R2.
- Exchange server 2007.
- Acronis agent (latest) deployed using management server.
- Backup plan created to take a full image backup from all partitions.
Problem: The backup plan starts but suddenly hangs, no errors, no progress at all. it tried different agent versions but always the same problem.
Please help.

Dear Anton,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
- Regarding the anti-virus; I'm using Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.6 (latest).
- Regarding VSS; I will try to take the backup while VSS is off.
- Regarding NTBackup; I'm using Windows server 2008 R2 (NTBackup is replaced with Windows Server Backup) and Windows server backup is working fine.
I have two other issues:
- On the same above server, whenever I tried to manually stop the Acronis managed machine service, it goes into STOPPING status and never stopped till i restart the server.
- The current windows agent version is 10.0.11345, tried to upgrade it to 10.0.12497 from the AMS server but it's not upgraded. I tried to install the agent manually and it succeeded!!
Thanks again

Hello Mohammed,
Thank you for getting back to me and you are most welcome.
We do not have any known issues with Symantec Endpoint Protection, I believe it has to do with VSS or something else which is not clear at the moment.
We have had numerous issues with the Acronis Managed Machine service either stopping or starting for a very long time, but our Development is always optimizing the code to make the service run faster. I believe the best way to resolve these problems is to install the latest build which is 12497 and contact our Support team if the issue persists.
For remote installation issues I can recommend this Knowledge Base article and if it does not help, please contact our Support team so that we can troubleshoot the problem.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.
Thank you.
