Acronis Backup and Recovery Network Problems

Thread needs solution

HI,
our customer uses Acronis Backup and Recovery to backup a win sbs 2003 server to Iomega StorCenter. The Iomega StorCenter ist connected to the LAN, both StorCenter and Server use the same switch. Acronis seems to have problems keeping the connection to the StorCenter alive. All Energie Saving Options on the NAS have been deactivated. It takes 2 1/2 days to backup the server. The log-file repeatedly has following error message:

Die Aktion wurde auf Grund eines Problems mit der Netzwerkverbindung zur erforderlichen Datei unterbrochen. Versuche Ping in 30 Sekunden.

Which roughly translates to:
the action was interrupted, because of a Problem with the network connection to a neccessary file. Try ping in 30 seconds.

What causes this?

Thank you for the log provided. Unfortunately it still leaves the question about the issue cause open. So the issue requires investigation. Could you please gather the following diagnostic data? 

  1. Wireshark
  2. Acronis Info from the problem machine

Could be a faulty network card.
