Dear All,

1) Is there such product that similar to p2v method such as disk2vhd (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ee656415) from your party that we could use to convert physical server to virtual disk image.

If there is such method, which exact application name that has been tested and used for physical to virtual conversion ?

2) If I would like to use backup and restore method, is it compatible for such scenario

Your kind assistance and advise on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Our Acronis Backup and Recovery has the functionality of converting the backup to virtual machine, you can find the details of the process in this KB article.

This functionality is present in all Acronis Backup and Recovery product, which brings us back to the product selection. As I'm not aware of the OS you're going to backup and whether you would like use centralized or local management, I cannot advise you some particular product, and I would advise you to use our Product Selection guide, available in the Support Section. Please follow these instructions and select Presales/Licensing type of question - this will bring you to the Product selection Wizard, where you can specify the details of the scenario you would like to proceed, and get the best match.
