Backup fails with "'Failed to open the metadata directory"
This is a new install of Acronis 10 workstation.
All tasks on this PC run with admin privileges.
Target directory is locally mapped network drive Z: (accessible to ALL users).
There should be NO need for special credentials.
This is NOT a credential failure.
Improper credentials produce a DIFFERENT error message.
Yes, I read the FAQ and the entry about credentials (not related to this problem).
What is going on here ?
I really, really, really need to make some backups,
without wasting any more time...
Thanks in advance, Best Regards, Dave

I tried using the UNC path.
It fails with "network unavailable", even though it is clearly available...
I tried using the "pre-command" to map the network drive.
It fails when I test the command saying "cannot execute child process"
Every single error lookup on the Acronis site shows "no information about this error".
This used to work fine in the previous version.
Does this software actually work ?

OK, fiddling with the UNC path syntax has got this to work.
Yikes....
