Backup "OK" but stuck at 0%
I'm running Backup & Recovery 10 (10.0.11345) on Windows Server 2008 R2. I'm trying to do a full backup from one internal disk to another internal disk. Both disks are 1 TB. The destination disk is completely empty; the source disk has about 900 GB on it.
The "Backup Plans & Tasks" pane says the backup is "OK" and has been running for 53 minutes. However, no .tib file has been created and the progress indicator is still at 0%.
The last line in the log says "Analyzing Partition E:".
What's going on?

We are also running Backup & Recovery 10 (10.0.11345) and having the same issue on a Windows 2003 server
I have noticed that the backupandrecoveryservice.exe becomes hung shortly after the job starts and you are unable to stop this, used taskkill and pskill but the service will not end and only a reboot will clear this
We have the job set not to us VSS, can you suggest another way to help run this backup?
Thanks

Hello Jonathan,
Thank you for posting and welcome to our forum. I will do my best to assist you.
It is very difficult to say at the moment what causes the backupandrecoveryservice.exe process to become unresponsive. I can recommend the following.
Please download and install the latest build of our software, which is 11639. Very often, changes in the program code can have a positive effect on such issues. If you still continue to experience problems, please submit a support request with the following information:
1. AcronisInfo report.
2. Userdumps for backupandrecoveryservice.exe process.
If you have any other issues or questions, please let me know.
Thank you.
