Backup won´t work

Thread needs solution

Hi,

everytime I try to backup the Data from my PC (Win 7 Home Premium) the following error appears... (The Back-up-file is about 160 GB big at this moment):

I already downloaded and installed the latest version - the error stays :-/

Unfortunately the error message - Fehler während Ausführung der Backup- und Recovery-Engine aufgetreten (Failed to run backup and recovery engine) is a generic error which does not provide any useful information. It means that the backup has failed. However, logs after this message provide more useful info.

I would really appreciate if you could get back to me with this report. It collects some diagnostic information which can tell us why your backups fail.

the filesize of the "AcronisInfo.zip" is 60 MB and the upload doesn´t work.

I hope you can find and solve the problem...

From the report that you uploaded I can see this error in the program logs:

 Failed to open the archive by ID

This is more of a GUI issue than a real error, it can be safely ignored and the backups will not be affected. Please check this article for the solution.

If for some reason you continue to have difficulties, please contact our Support team directly with the same report and please mention the above article.

Hi Anton,

thank you for the fast reply. I downloaded and replaced the ".dll", but the backup stops at the same point with the same error.
So I searched in the general backup-settings for a option to ignore the errors and go on, but this didn´t help either.

It is still the same error-message:
