Can not save changes to backup policy

Thread needs solution

If I edit a policy which shows in the main console as with my own user being the owner, I see the screen as per the attachment. It basicallly has a message at the top saying "The backup policy was created by another user. If you edit the policy you should change the policy credentials." With the 'advanced view' option enabled, it shows the policy credentials as 'Acronis Service Credentials'. If I amend these credentials for any user at all, I still can not get the 'Save' button to enable. This includes specifying the same account details which the services run under, as well as my own user which has admin priveleges.

The only way I can change the policy seems to be to delete it and create a new one!

Any ideas/pointers?

Thanks, Paul A

I, too, have several customers where I have seen this, and the only solution is to tear out what was created and rebuild from scratch.

Why put an Edit button for a screen and not allow you to save changes? A typo or a slight adjustment requires a complete redo? That's a sad Dilbert comic strip (and yes, I have a copy of that strip).

Paul A's post is also a month old with no response. Acronis?

Unfortunately it is difficult to say at the moment what causes this issue. Maybe a closer look at the setup through a remote session will be enough to determine why it occurs.

I would recommend to contact our Support team directly so that we can resolve it.
