Cannot get a backup to run
I have three external drives for my laptop. Two that are just usb drives, very large, and mainly used just for backing up files.
The third is an exact duplicate of my internal hard drive.
I have TI v10 build 5055 and vista 64. I can no longer get TI to do any type of backup to either of the bigger drives. And I cannot clone the third hard drive.
I've formatted all the drives, ran chkdsk /r and still I get an error:
Operation with partition '2-0' was terminated.|Details:|Invalid file reference. (0x7001A)|
It always happens within the first 10 seconds of starting a back up. I only want to do full complete backups.
I have tried searching the forums and faqs and support but cannot find a solution.
Any ideas? I no longer have any valid backups.

Hello Russ,
Thank you for taking time to contact us, I will be happy to help.
Most probably, the issue is caused by improper interaction of Acronis drivers with file system. To resolve the issue please update the program to the latest build of the program # 6053. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here.
This will update Acronis drivers and should resolve the issue. Since the previous build doesn't work properly, I suggest you to remove it prior installing the new one.
1. Completely uninstall Acronis software (Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs. Select Acronis True Image Home 2010 and hit "Remove").
2. Reboot the computer.
3. Install Acronis True Image Home 2010 from the scratch.
Create a new full backup selecting a new folder as a destination and see if the issue remains. If the issue still persists, please create step-by-step screen shots of your actions on how you manage the backup operation and attach to your next post.
Please let us know the results, we are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.
Thank you.

Hello Oleg,
I am suffering of the same problem of yours as Russ.
I did download the latest update and made a bootable USB stick with the new version, but the problem still exists.
When I try to make a disc copy (partition D) from a desktop computer to a USB drive, I always get an error message: "Invalid file reference (0x7001a) Tag = 0xEF8B9618A4C00E18".
In this version, your software is unusuable.
Best Regards
