Centralized Vault not accessible from Windows 2008 Server? Fine from other 2003 servers?

Thread needs solution

I've got the agent installed and can manage the remote 2008 server within the management console, however attempts to set up a backup plan to a centralized vault are not possible. Essentially, despite there being centralized vaults created, they are not visible from the 2008 box. There's just nothing in there...

Am i missing the obvious...the central vaults and backup plans are all set up and working fine for all other 2003 servers, its just this 2008 box isn't playing nicely.

hoping for some help...thanx in advnace!

Hello Jason,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

On the computer with Acronis Agent installed please restart Acronis services:

* Go to Start -> Run -> services.msc

* Right-click on the following Acronis services, and click on Restart:

- Acronis Managed Machine Service;

- Acronis Remote Agent;

- Acronis Scheduler2 Service.

A possible cause is that DNS name of the networked machine with the vault was not registered correctly. To resolve the issue please delete the present unaccessible vault and recreate it specifying the IP address at  the Path box.

If nothing helps, please obtain AcronisInfo file and attach to your next post:

- Download AcronisInfo file ;
- Run the downloaded file. The gathered information will be put in AcronisInfo.zip in the same folder, where the AcronisInfo was saved.

Running AcronisInfo may take up to 5 minutes.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
