Cloning a Disk with Acronis Backup & Recovery® 11 Server for Windows

Thread needs solution

HI,

I downloaded Acronis Backup & Recovery® 11 Server for Windows today but was unable to find a feature within the software to enable me to clone a disk.

I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction, I looked everywhere but have no doubt Ive missed it because its called something else or it is hidden somewhere.

I have used True Image home for years but never the server version.

Thanks
Brett

Hello Brett,

Thank you for taking to time to post on our Forum, we are glad to see you among us.

Clone and low-level hard disk operations can be performed through the in-built Disk Management feature similar to the capabilities offered by our Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced Workstation and Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced Server products. Please see our Web-Help guide for more information on disk management features and operations.

Prior to attempting to perform any clone operations you will have to head to the Disk Management interface from the Managed Machine console view. Alternatively, and ideally, you may access Disk Management through the Acronis Bootable Media, which will be visible on the mainscreen. Once you are able to view the current status of your disks and partitions, you will then have to right-click on the intended disk to be cloned and opt for Clone Basic Disk. Please follow our Knowledge Base article for a step-by-step guide on cloning basic disks.

Should you experience any difficulties during the clone operation or have additional questions, please feel free to write to us.

Kind regards,

Volkan
