Create Acronis 10.0 bootable hard drive

I have an external USB 500 GB drive that I want to create one partition on for booting the Acronis on and then the another will be for storing backup images.
The issue I am having is that the software only will write to a CD\DVD or create an iso image. How can I get the HD bootable for the Acronis?
I am running Windows 7 64 bit OS on the machine I am using for the Acronis Software.
