Failed to Find Acronis License Server

Thread needs solution

When I try to create a new backup job in ABR10, I get the message "Cannot check the license key". I go to Help->Change License and point ABR10 to my Acronis license server. It fails with the message "Failed to Find Acronis License Server".

The server is on the network and running fine. When I run the License Server Management Console on the server, all my licenses show up in the list. All Acronis-related services are running. I've stopped and re-started them all with the same result.

This is the second time this has happened. The last time, I re-started the entire server and then my ABR10 clients were able to find the license server. But I have a lot of users and processes running on the server and I can't be re-booting it all the time. Anyone else have the license server flake out for no apparent reason?

did you try also to enter the IP adress? should not make any difference but I had one case where this solved the issue.

Endurance is 100% correct I’ve also seen many customs have this issue and it’s more than often it’s related to DNS errors/issues on a network so it might be a good idea to check the DNS records at the same time as it will help avoid other issues in the future/present as well.

Would be good to hear your feedback if the IP address fixes your issue.
