Huge problems with one client

Thread needs solution

Hi,
i have severe problems with one ABR 10 client. It began when I was forced to move the ABR Server to another location. I decided to uninstall all clients, remove the license and ABR Server, and installed both on a new server.

The problem is that I wasn´t able to uninstall the Acronis Agent from the mentioned client, neither via the windows remove software, or the Acornis Cleanup Utility (which crashes). I also wasn´t able to install/update remote or locally to the client.

I then found out that the client was trying to contact the old license server DNS name (which doesn´t exist anymore), so i added an DNS Host entry to the new license server. After I´ve done that, i was able to install the agent via remote console. But I think the installation is somehow corrupted: When I want to plan a Backup task, i can´t select the Disk to backup, all I get is: "0 Disk, 0 Volume, (0 bytes)". I can select Files/Folders, but this is not the way I want this client to be backed up.

Any hints? This client is critical to out production, so i need to get this backup work.

Hello Philipp Zimmermann,

Thank you for your post. I will do my best to assist you.

Most likely the issue is caused, like you mention, by a corrupted installation. The SnapApi component did not install properly, which is in charge of hard disk operations.

I will send you a private message with a download link for the latest SnapApi driver update. Please install it and if you are still having issues, I would really appreciate if you can send me an AcronisInfo report. This will allow us to troubleshoot this problem. Attach a screenshot of the backup task where it shows 0 Dis, 0 volume please.

Just in case, you can also contact our support directly if you need immediate assistance.

Let me know if you have additional questions please.

Thank you.

Thanks, it seems to work now with the SnapApi drivers you provided me.
