I can't restore my C:/ partition
Hi,
After choosing to restore a partition and choosing my backup archive I did a week ago, it gives me the summary and asks me to reboot. However when I press reboot I get the following error:
E003F003E: Failed to activate Cronis Bootable Agent.
Error opening the file.
After that nothing is happening. I cannot restore the backup I have.
I also get an error when I try to create bootable rescue media.
E003F003E: Failed to build the bootable media.
Failed to create random access read stream of the file C:\Program Files\Cnmmon Files\Acronis\MediaBuilder\bootwiz.sys. (0x3F003E) Tag = 0x4B36F3A35505E75F Error opening the file. (0x40007) function = "OpenFileW", filename = "\\?\C:\Program Files\Cnmmon Files\Acronis\MediaBuilder\bootwiz.sys" Tag = 0xF35F747B3B21F811 The system cannot find the path specified (0xFFF0) code = 80070003) Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8A6\
In this second error for bootable rescue media I can see Acronis has the wrong folder, there is no Cnmmon Files, it's Common Files. I tried to rename Common Files to Cnmmon Files but windows says access is denied

Is there a downloadable ISO file available in your Acronis account? If so, you could create a CD from that and try it.

I'm having a problem understanding how to restore the image I created from c: or one drive to e: of a second drive.
I am using Acronis True Image PC Backup & Recovery, Windows XP Pro.
On a previous machine I was using version 7, to me, it seemed a lot easier.
Is there something I'm missing while attempting to restore an image? Also, unlike ver.7, I don't see the partitions I've allocated.
Disk 1: C:OPSYS, D:DATA
Disk 2: E:IMAGE, F:SPARE
The "clone" automatically copies to E: Is this normal?

Hello all!
Thank you for finding time to report about the problems you have faced, I will be glad to help you with it!
Dear Joseph, thank you for your comments and please accept our apologies for we didn't reply on time. Thank you for specifying that the issue got resolved, and I would appreciate if you could kindly specify the solution to the community!
From my end I regret to inform you that Windows 7 is supported only by Acronis True Image Home 2010, other Acronis True Image products officially do not support this OS, wasn't tested on it and we do not guarantee the stability of work and safety of the data.
As a workaround here we can use the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media CD you could have created by means of the product itself (Tools -> Create Bootable Rescue Media). Should you use version 11 or lower, you need to contact support directly in order to obtain the *iso and the instructions how to burn it onto the CD.
Boot you machine from the media created and choose the files to recover and target destination. Please note that programs backed up in Windows XP won't work after recovery on Windows 7 due to the peculiarities of OS architecture.
I would appreciate if you could kindly let us know whether you have any further concerns - we will be glad to help!
Dear Ralph, thank you for your question. We have changed the GUI recently, but the principles of work are still the same. I would advise you to take a look at the chapter 11 in the User's Guide - it contains the detailed description of the recovery process.
Should something still be confusing - do not hesitate to ask us directly or leave a comment here.
Thank you in advance for cooperation!
