Invalid URI error in validation

Thread needs solution

I have seen a couple of posts about this but could not find a definitive fix.

Acronis has worked fine for over a year but now in a couple of my back up routines it reports a successful back up but I get the above error message in validation.

I am only backing up data from one drive in each case so it is not complex.

Forum will not allow attachment of the Acronis log file type so I have attached a screen cap of the log..

Anyone got suggestions as to how I can fix this?

Thanks,

Brian

Brian,

There seem to be two workarounds.

1. Change the validation to cover the complete archive especially if you are using Echo file naming.

2. Navigate to the '.meta' folder and copy the contents somewhere safe, then delete the contents. After that check to make sure all your archives are still visible in ABR10 if so, return the copy of the .meta folder contents back one file at a time checking to see which one cause the validation problem, once you've found it delete that file.

I'm sure there should be an easier way to solve the problem other than ABR10 not doing this in the first place.

Hello Brian and Colin!

Thank you for your comments! Colin, thank you for help.

Brian, I understand your concern, and will be glad to assist you.

It looks like the location of the backup becomes unavailable for some reason. I would advise you to check this KB article for the instructions on how to proceed in such situation.

If it's not the case, please gather Acronis Info, submit a case with the information attached, and let us know its number.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
