Keys not being accepted and then update failure.

Thread needs solution

We had Acronis 10 SBS edition installed on a SBS2008 server. It stopped working around a month ago and we have tried to update to the latest edition in-case it was some of the windows updates causing an issue.

Now when we install it does not recognise the keys (even though the license server shows valid keys) and when we try and update we receive the following:

Line tag: 0x394351065f8e4bad
Message: Installation error.

Suberror
Code: 01603
Line tag: 0xbd28fdbd64edb8bc
Message: Fatal error during installation

Welcome to our forum and thank you for your post. I will certainly assist you with resolving this problem.

Just in case, if you strongly feel that this is a licensing issue, you can try revoking a license to free it up, maybe it got used up by previous installation attempts. Please check this post for more information.

Alternatively, I will need a few logs in order to get to the bottom of this installation failure because unfortunately the short error does not explain why the installation fails. Please provide me with the following:

1. .msi log.

2. AcronisInfo report.

Just in case, if you need immediate assistance you can always contact our Support team directly with the same logs.

I have attached the relevant files. That is a good idea with revoking the license as a test. Note that the Acronis info zip file is 38M so may not attach properly.

Unfortunately there are no attachment in your post, that is why I would like to follow-up with a private message and give you a link to our ftp server, you can upload both of the logs there. Most likely the size caused this.
