license expiration

Thread needs solution

Hi, I post in this forum because I have a great problem with this software. I have been using it since july 2010 and from 13th january 2011 I can´t do any more backup because the license seems to be expired and I don´t understand it. The question is that without license I can not do any backup of my system.

I have tried to delete the license and install again but that not solve the problem because I do it yesterday and today I have discover that the license expires today. I have writen so many times to the official support and there isn´t any problem with the license, all is ok. Anyone can help me please?

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum. I will certainly help you with resolving this problem.

The expiration date in the license server does not serve any practical purpose at the moment, I am sorry for the inconvenience. The license server and the Acronis agent communicate with each on a regular basis to make sure there is a valid license, so that the agent can function and create backups. The expiration date was supposed to show the date that the agent was going to contact the license server, however, occasionally that expiration view malfunctions.

Most likely, in your situation there is a problem with the agent communicating with the Acronis License Server. There are a lot of different reasons for this and we have a solution available in this KB article.

If it does not help, I would appreciate if you can continue working with our Support representatives in the case that you opened with us and if you need additional assistance, please let me know.

I just found this post and wanted to confirm something. I have 10 licenses that according to my license manager, are going to expire next month. If I understand the above post correctly I DO NOT need to purchase a renewal for each license correct? I have 5 Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server and 5 Backup 7 Recovery 10 Advanced Server Universal Restore licenses. Please advise. Thank you!!!

Thank you for your message. I will do my best to help you.

Please do not worry about this expiration date. It does not show that your serial numbers have reached an expiration date. They never do and you can still install the program with them even after 50 years.

If you are thinking that, it is the support option that is going to expire, that information is not shown in the license server. Instead, you can navigate to your Acronis web-account, select My Products&Downloads section and each product will have a support tab which will show when the support program will expire.

Hi Guys;
I have 4 different Acronis products which include 1 license for Backup and Security. I now have 13 days left to purchase a new license for Backup and Security. Quite frankly, I do not know what this involves. I put in a ticket 2 days ago and have not recieved a response and I have been all over the site looking for an answer. Do I have to purchase a new Security and Backup? I also have true image home 2011 loaded.
