New user to Acronis - Created numerous backups, then moved .TIB files

Like I said, I'm a new user to Acronis, and I've used it for about 3 months now. I have created a bunch of .TIB files and filled my local hard drive. To make things easier, I was able to recover an old 3TB NAS and then created folder organization and then moved the .TIB files to logical folder structure and then wiped the old drive and used it for other stuff.

It's now a couple weeks later and I need to utilize one of the .TIB image backups... guess what... OOOPS.... no .meta folders or files.
Acronis will not let me utilize the backup files, and I've tried all the help that I could find about re-building the vault to get .meta back. Nothing is working.

HELP PLEASE!!

I've found this in another thread, however, I am still UNABLE to perform any recoveries.

We are really sorry for the delay with the response.

In case if you're using Acronis Backup&Recovery 10: the .meta folder contains meta-information on the backups in the same folder and it is not recommended to delete, since you won't be able to create it manually.

There can be some issues without that .meta folder, for example:

You cannot append an incremental or differential backup to the one that's missing the .meta folder. Instead a full backup will be created;
A new backup in the folder may have an unusual name. E.g, RecreatedArchive_D68A57AA-E2A3-4C34-174-C2BC89957D72_2009_08_21_14_47_53_625F.TIB.
However, even if the .meta folder is deleted or lost, you will still be able to restore the backup.

I'd like to thank everyone for their input and suggestions on this issue. (Sarcasm)

I've solved this issue by accident. Apparently Acronis DOES NOT WORK with a NAS in any way shape or form. When I attempted to create a NEW backup to the NAS, it bombed with other errors. I then proceeded to attempt to backup to my old original storage location (that no longer had the .meta folder) and the backup was successful.

I then copied one of my old backups to the same folder and proceeded to perform a Vault Validation and it was successful.

So, Acronis, you might want to advise your Technical people that a NAS cannot be utilized with your software.

I also wanted to note this as well, I had read in other forums that its not possible to re-create the .meta folder. That is false, you can create it simply by opening a command prompt and typing the following:

D:\Images> md .meta

I tested this and while windows explorer could not create the .meta folder name, you can with the command prompt.

Oh for the days of 80x25 !!
