Problem Getting the Dell Medium Changer to show up for Dell PowerVault 124T AutoLoader Tape Library
Hi Acronis,
I have been dealing with Amit Guria for for the past couple of months in getting our medium tape changer to work with to out Dell PowerVault 124T AutoLoader. Our case number is Case 00314629 [ref:00D3Zcb.500577vmr:ref].
History:
We had a guy logon remotely to setup the newest version of Acronis 10 with the new interface. Very slick. He was successful in getting Acronis to backup to a network drive but not the tape libaray. When I ran the tests, it only showed tape.0 as the backup device. I called Dell and they checked out everything and said the problem was with Acronis softeare drivers. In the time we have been working to get our backups fixed, we have lost a a server disk drive and data.
Can someone give me a call to fix this problem. It is taking 3 - 5 days for Amit Guria to respond to my problems for resolution. I need someone to login remotely and fix this problem fast. I would hate to go back to Symantec Backup Exec, but if I have to I will just because the medium tape changer will work with it.

Hi, I realize this is an old topic (in fact, that is promising to me....), but I also have a Dell Powervault 124T and it will not show up in the Acronis console although the LTO drive does, and if I manually load a tape, I can use that. Did you have any luck resolving this issue? I've submitted a ticket, but thought I'd post as well just in case it's something that has a 'simple' resolution you could pass on.
