The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process
I have Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server - Small Business Server Edition.
All was working fine with my backups until...I enabled BitLocker on my SBS 2008 R2 Server.
Now, ABR fails to backup and SQL files, saying "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process".
No matter what I try (enforce VSS, etc.) is will not backup any MDF and LDF SQL 2008 files.
Again, this worked fine before BitLocker was enabled on the drive.
Furthermore, I tried other backup programs like COMODO, Backup Assist, etc., and they all perfomred a VSS shadow copy no problem! So, I know the files CAN be backed up. I also tried re-intalling the software.
Please HELP...I cannot backup my important stuff!!!
You posted it to the wrong forum (home instead of Business->Acronis Backup and Recovery Forum). You let your (one year free included) maintenance period lapse (SBS $400*0.25 PPI cost), but it's not per phone call but per the case itself (let's call it "can't backup SQL on SBS 2008 R2 after bitlocker enabled") Customer support is not here, it's a community. Did you 'use MS VSS' instead of 'use acronis VSS provider' too?

I tried selecting the different VSS options in the program to no avail. I used the software for over a year, but just recently enabled bitlocker on my server.
I will try posting on the correct forum..thanks.
