Question about backup possibilites of Arconis 11

Hello,

im currently testing the trial software of arconis 11 and i have a question.

Im currently running two virtual machines.
1 - Windows Server 2008, which is the domain controller.
2 - Windows Server 2003, which serves as a client.

Normal backups from one system to an external hdd work fine.

But i want to know if its possible two aquire a backup of the second vm via the network. For example, i distribute the arconis agent via group policies and start the main arconis software on the 2008 server and select the 2003 server as the source of the backup.
Is that possible?

If we are talking about disk/partition backup (not backup of network shares located on 2003 machine), the 'source' is always local to agent installed on this machine. You can connect to it directly and create a backup, or you can add this agent to a management server (may be an overkill for just 2 machines) and see and select the disks of 2003 machine in the common tree of available resources under 'machines with agents'. It either way, backup plan will be created on the 2003 machine and its agent will perform the backup.
