Question about HyperV Based Backups

Hi Guys,

New to this forum just have a quick, most likely silly, question.

Running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, full GUI, with Hyper-V.

Running Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server, Virtual Edition - Build 10.0.11639

Question is...

I reconfigured a job on one of our Virtual Servers, and told it to run.

Usually the jobs run scheduled in the early hours of saturday/sunday morning so i am not aware of 'normal' behaviour.

Anyway, when this job ran, it 'saved' the virtual machine. Im pretty sure i have run jobs during business hours before and not seen it do this, but not sure enough to be positive ;o)

I have never knowingly seen it 'save' a VM whilst backing it up, but i dont know if this is in fact normal behaviour.

Can anyone confirm?
