Recover data from old Image to a usb disk

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have upgraded a laptop to win7.
Before i upgraded the laptop i made an image of it.
Just in case i still needed some data that was on that disk.
Now it seems this is the case.

I don't want to restore the image back to my new installed win7 laptop.
I just need to see the data of the image and maybe copy some files.
Is it possible to restore the image to a usb disk?
So I can search for some old files on it?

THX in advance

Hello Jan Nijs,

Thank you for posting and welcome to our forum. I will definitely help you with your question.

There is a quicker way to do this than restoring the whole disk backup to your external hard drive.

If you have Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Management Console installed on your computer you can just click on the .tib file and be able to view and copy/paste its contents. In case you have Acronis Agent installed in addition to the management console you can restore individual files/folders from your backup. Please take a look at this KB article that shows steps for performing either of the two recovery scenarios.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hi Anton,

Thx for the help.
I've made the image with an bootable acronis backup & recovery 10 disk.
And this image is stored on a portable disk.
Can I import this Image to a management server? (I recently installed one)
