[RESOLVED] Backup doesn't start after computer reset.

Thread needs solution

Hello everybody!

Please help me.

I have windows XP SP3 and backup plan, which starts once everyday.
My backup plan is backuping a local disk to an external HDD. It works very well. But if I restart my computer then it doesn't work. And I don't recieve any error or warning messages. Backup plan just doesn't start.

To starting backup I make clone of it. And this clone works very well till I restart the computer.

Maybe some services doesn't start...

Find the solution here.

Hello Different,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

Can you please specify which Acronis product and which build of it you are using? How is the backup plan set up? Do you get any error message in logs?

I am looking forward for your reply.

Thank you.

Hello Peter Vigoureux,

"Can you please specify which Acronis product and which build of it you are using?"

I am using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 build 11.0.17318

"How is the backup plan set up?"

What information do you need?

"Do you get any error message in logs?"

I have message "Резервные копии не создавались более 5 дней" (Backups are not created more than 5 days).

Thank you.

Hello Different,

Thank you for your reply.

Please export and import the backup plan. After the export of the backup plan, please follow these instructions from our knowledge base. After these steps, you can import the backup plan again. The issue should be solved then.

If the backup plan disappears again or the backup plan fails, please export the logs and upload them to this thread or send it to me via private message.

I am looking forward for your reply.

Thank you.

Try to reproduce this behavior with a backup plan of some small file to a personal vault in a local folder. If it reproduces this way, .i.e stops working after reboot, get two schedmgr reports ( schedmgr get report > schedreport.txt ) as described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/1859 , before reboot and after it . If there are no tasks in it after reboot,it looks like scheduler can't save information about scheduled tasks - try to add it to antivirus exclusions - http://kb.acronis.com/content/36429
