Restoring to RAID 1

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm having trouble restoring a back-up made from a server, to entirely
different hardware.

I am using Acronis backup & recovery 10 server for windows, with a Universal Restore license included.

I have already made a WinPE boot CD with the bootable media builder.
When I boot with it on the other machine, it sees the RAID 1 setup.

Then I start the recovery/restore procedure.

I select the archive file (I have already validated it, it comes out clean), I proceed with setting the data type to Disks.

Then I select the RAID 1 disk to which it must recover.

Here comes the part where I think there might be a problem.

I set Universal Restore to Use and set search folders toward the folders with the correct and latest chipset and RAID drivers.

I then proceed with the restore procedure.

The restore procedure goes well until around 50%. After that it speeds to 63% and says that the procedure has failed.

This isn't really the problem as I tested the back-up previously on a single HDD. The recovery procedure did the same thing but I was still able to boot into the Windows environment.

However when I do this on a RAID 1 setup, it crashes with a BSOD when trying to boot into the Windows environment.

I have been going at this for a couple of days, but I still can't seem to get it to work

Anyone with suggestions or ideas as to what I can do/try next?

Thanks in advance!

Cirus, if you don't have the last build 13762 yet (see Help / About),
i'd recommend to check if the latest ISO (http://kb.acronis.com/content/4828) detects your RAID
or recreate the WinPE media with build 13762.

If all fails, you definitely should save the log with the floppy button and either attach to your post or open a support case with this information.
