Shut down problem with Win7 after Backup

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I use Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 and I have a problem with automaticly shuting down the PC after the backup.

This is quite strange. If I start the backup manualy, then, after the backup, the bat-file will execute and the PC will shut down, but if it starts automaticly, B & R tells me in the log, that the bat-file was executed, but the PC is still on. Also this affects noch all of the Win7 PCs, just a few and they were shut down, when i installed B & R at the first time.

I also cant find somethin in the Windowslogs, that will point me in the right direction.

Did someone had that kind of problem?

Hi Siegfried

I have not done testing of this myself but perhaps look into the Acronis account that is running the backups has administrative rights? Perhaps try adding the Acronis user to the administrators group and see if that helps at all (you might have to restart the Acronis service after making this change).

Will be interesting to find out if this helps or not.

Sorry for the late respond.

No, this isn't the Problem. Like I said, if I start the backup manually, after that the PC shuts down. I tested it with several accounts and everyone was local or domain admin.
Also I looked in the group policy to see if I can find something related to my problem. The only thing I found was the policy to control whether the PC can be shut down, if there is no one loged in, wich is activated.

Help is still needed.

Hi Siegfried

Thanks for the update, it might be best to log this with Acronis support so they can look into it for you, hopefully they might be able to include a fix for it in Update 0 if it’s a product issue. I would suggest logging the case ASAP as I believe Update 0 it’s getting close to release.
