Hi

I am in the process of recovering Virtual Machines from a Tape backup for the first time, I've just recovered the first VM which has about 19GB in about 3Hours, too much time in my opinion. Restoring from Disk vault the same VM takes less than 1/3 of the time.

I am now in the process of recovering the next VM which has around 600GB... The task has been stuck at 17% for the last 8 hours... I would really like to know if this is normal or if there's something wrong.

Its not lack of hardware resources as the Acronis Management Server is running on a quadcore processor server with 32GB of RAM, it has a dual Gb NIC teaming. The tape library is LTO5, fiberchannel and the tape itself has only 4 re-writes.

Is this long wait normal? Can anyone shed some light?

I can see that the arsm process is doing something, I just don't know what.
