Static IP Address on Linux Bootable Media

Thread needs solution

I installed the latest built of Acronis on my 2003 Server and used it to create a bootable media in order to restore images with. We found that when it boots into the Linux environment, it always has a static IP defined for the NIC, no matter on which physical server it was loaded onto, which is the same static IP that the 2003 server I created the CD with has. This causes an IP conflict and I lost connectivity to my 2003 server.

Is this a bug? Anyone else experience this one? Any way to work around the problem or fix?

Thanks,
Reuvy
