Unable to download updates (bootable ISO)
I'm trying to download the latest updates. Anyone else having trouble:
- Whilst I can download the main B&R workstation advanced installation, the button underneath each section to switch to the bootable media ISO doesn't work. One suspect because...
- Errors on the page due to bad JavaScript (see below)
- Prompts from IE8 warning me that the download page has both HTTPS and HTTP content on there. I doubt this is causing the above errors but still a bit sloppy
Cheers, Rob.

I'm having precisely the same issue today. I've used both IE and Firefox, logged in, and the bootable media tab is dead. IE informs me the page has errors. Firefox says nothing but the tab doesn't work.

I had the same problem this morning. Errors on page. I just tried it again and it worked fine. I'm sure glad the problem wasn't Acronis's web page LOL!

Hello All,
There was indeed a problem with our web site. We contacted our web masters and they fixed the issue.
Should you still experience difficulties accessing iso and support tabs in your accounts try to delete cookies and browser cash - this should help. Should the issue still persist - please post in this thread.
Andrey.

I can confirm this issue is now fixed, there are no JavaScript errors and the tabs work to enable download of bootable ISO.
Cheers, Rob.

Unfortunately, after all of this, my original issue that I was trying to solve with this updated download, remains.
Dell Optiplex 780, bios A03 (latest), as soon as I hit the GUI for choosing "backup" or "recovery", the GUI freezes then the computer reboots. So...I can't do anything useful at all. Not a website issue, so I'll re-post this elsewhere.
Update: I called support, and the first suggestion was: The .iso may not have downloaded correctly, and may be missing files. Please download again.
My response is, if this is such a common issue that it's the first troubleshooting step, why does the posted .iso download not have a listed CRC number, so one could validate the integrity of one's download?

Hello Rob and Jason!
Thank you for your comments and many thanks to Jason for keeping us posted!
Jason, I couldn't find any other thread related to this issue and opened by you, so I'll answer here and later on will merge the conversation to the new thread.
I assume that your Bootable Media CD freezes and reboots when booting Dell machine. This could have been caused by several reasons, so the situation requires investigation. But before we get started I'd like to know the results of redownloading Acronis Bootable Rescue Media - could you please keep us posted regarding this issue?
Thank you for a very reasonable suggestion regarding listed CRC number! I have forwarded this suggestion to the website and management team, so hopefully we will have it implemented soon.
Please let us know in case the issue persists or you have any difficulties with contacting support - we will be glad to help.
Thank you!

Hello Yana;
Downloading the updated bootable .iso is no longer an issue, as noted above the website issue was resolved.
I've downloaded the .iso (twice with two browsers), burned two copies (each of the two .iso's, one to DVD-R, one to CD-R). Both of these reboot the Dell Optiplex 780, so that issue isn't resolved.
Both of these bootable media's work in other machines, for an example an HP laptop I was experimenting with yesterday.
In the past I had a similar issue with an older version of Dell Optiplex, that was resolved, at the time, with an updated bootable .iso. In this case we're not there yet, evidently. As a troubleshooting step, I've set the Dell to both AHCI and ATA mode for the hard drives, to no effect.

Hello Jason,
Thank you for getting back to us.
It appears our bootable media is lacking specific drivers for your hardware. I have found your case in our support database and our Support Engineer asked for an Acronis Linux Report from you. As soon as he gets them he will forward your case to our Linux expert who will resolve this issue.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

When I follow the instructions for creating a sysinfo.txt file on a USB stick, all the file contains is:
Please wait for a while ...
no raid disks
The report has been created in /var/lib/Acronis/sysinfo/ directory
This happens in both ACHI and SATA mode. The machine has a single drive. A user here is waiting on this machine to be delivered, so currently I'm doing a manual OS install and not using an image...so going forth this particular machine will not be available for further troubleshooting.

Dear Jason,
Thank you for your comment.
I'm really very sorry for you faced this issue, please, accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
I assume that anyway it would be good to find our the reason of the issue with the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media and fix it. We have released today a Bootable Media that automatically gathers Acronis Linux Report. I will sending it to your via PM.
I would highly appreciate if you could run it and send us the report when you have time.
I will completely understand in case you decide to quit troubleshooting.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

Interestingly, the entire manual OS, plus application load, went without issue. Then, the very next Optiplex 780 that I worked with, from the same batch order from Dell with identical specs, Acronis bootable media (using the same two disks I've created) worked perfectly, zero reboots or other issues.
So...that's a little confusing. If the first machine was flawed in some way, I'm not sure why it's working perfectly via it's manual install. On the other hand, if there is something incompatible about the current 780's it would be that way for all four we received.
