Unable to reinstall Acronis Management Server component

Thread needs solution

Hi All.

Our customer is use Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 for backuping our production servers. Recently we have a problem which Acronis Managment Server services (AMS) cannot start. It would start for a while and stop.

We have tried by Acronis support recomendation

Repair the Acronis Management Server component- failed
Uninstall the Acronis Management Server component
install the Acronis Management Server component - failed

I have attached the installation log generated from installing the Acronis Management Server component.
Please advice

Same problem here - the Management Server component now won't install when trying to install new version having uninstalled old.

Anybody shed some light please?

Hi Ross and Adrian
If not already tried you can try to reboot the server after the uninstall process then try the install again... If you are still having issues you can also look into running the MSI install file manually (extract it out of the main ABR11 installer using the main setup screen).

If you do not have many jobs setup and are ok to start over with a clean install I would recommend uninstalling ABR then running the required cleanup utility to help remove some traces of the previous install as per the following KB articles:
