Updated ABR Advanced Server 10 to ABR Advanced Server 11 --> All clients are listed as offline

Thread needs solution

Hello all,

I`ve encountered a strange issue after updating ABR Advanced Server 10 to ABR Advanced Server 11.
All data (List of registered clients, Backupe plans, etc.) setup on ABR Advanced Server 10 is still available, except that all clients are listed as offline.

Currently all the clients still have the ABR Advanced Workstation 10 installed.
I got it working by deregistering the client and register it again. Afterwards the client is shown as online and the backup plans get deployed.

But this way is unacceptable for the number of registered clients.
Anyone else had the same problem?
Anyone any idea how to solve this issue without re-registering all clients?

Thanks for your help,
Matthias

Hello Matthias,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you with this issue.

This can be fixed by updating the AMS database, the information about your clients needs to be refreshed.

There are two ways you can do this:

1. Manually by right clicking on each client in the AMS and selecting synchronize (please check the corresponding screenshot attached to my reply below).

2. Synchronizing your machine with a text file. Please note that you will need to specify the exact number of machines and their registration address (host name, fully qualified domain name (FQDN), or IP address) otherwise there is a chance that a machine will be deleted from the AMS. We have a detailed guide available here.

If you are still having issues I would recommend to contact our Support team so that we may assist you with fixing this issue.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
