Remote Upgrade from the Acronis Management Server - I can't get it to work
Running AMS (Acronis Management Server) v. 16428.
Trying to upgrade my 98 16363 clients to the new 16428.
When in Settings-Agents, select my location, select location, Upgrade agent, indicates Updating ... but it fails.
Overview-Activities-Show Details-Details, seems to indicate one of the following. 1) Network location cannot be reached, or 2) The management server cannot access machine 'LFTBOSS18' via all known IP addresses. For the list of addresses. With 2, shows the client's local IP, not the VPN IP. The AMS will never connect to the local VPN, has to use the VPN IP. Not sure why the local IP is attempted.
Network Corp AMS server connected to remote Acronis 12.5 clients, over VPN.
When I download logs from Activities, there is nothing in the log.zip.

Have you tried to re-register this Agent in AMS with the correct IP that should be used for connection?

Can you give me detail on how to do that? Are you saying register from the client-side? That I'm aware of and have done that via this command line, C:\"Program Files"\Acronis\RegisterAgentTool\register_agent.exe -o register -a <AMS VPN IP>. Should that be different, possible with an additional parameter for the VPN IP of the client? or are you referring to something from the AMS side?

Hello Randall!
You can also register a computer by IP instead of hostname from AMS UI. Try readding the computer with it's VPN IP from there.

The IP of the AMS is not the problem, I believe all is good with that. The problem is with the VPN IPs of the clients. AMS sees the local IPs of the clients when attempting the upgrade. All other things than Upgrading work fine from the AMS. (I'm really not sure how). I need to instruct the AMS the VPN IP of the client when attempting the upgrade. Note: this is my first attempt at an upgrade. I have an urgent need to upgrade 98 clients.

My issue has been resolved. I did turn out to be network ports after all. I was told by my networking team all was good, but it turns out it was not.. Now corrected and all is well.
