Set a special permission for some people in the Acronis console

Thread solved

Hello all,

I would like to set a special permission for some people in the Acronis console.
I would just like to allow these users to make backups and restores.
I don't want these users to be able to create plans, add machines, add location,...

I use "unit" to compartmentalize the accesses but the users are able to do everything in their "unit".
It is possible to set special peromissions for some users ?

Thanks and regards.

Hello Romain!

Not that I'm aware of.

What is your infrastructure like that you want to configure it this way? Home office users who would backup/restore when they are able, and can't be scheduled?

Hello Romain,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

Your users can install Acronis Management Servers locally with the Agent that backs up/restores the respective machine. However, in this case, each Agent can be managed by only one AMS, these Agents could not be managed centrally.

Otherwise, your customers could use Acronis Command-line utility locally on their machines and launch backup/restore via acrocmd.

Alternatively, I would suggest that your customers use Acronis True Image for managing their backups locally.

At any case, please note that Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 is centrally managed software solution which aimed to conduct and control all backup/protect/restore operations on Agents.

Hello all,

Ok, thanks for the confirmation. I close this case.

Thanks & regards,
