Regarding Acronis Cloud

Thread needs solution

I would like to enquire that if existing backup plan does have a 2nd backup on cloud , if first backup backup (NAS) are totally failed need maintenance and We created new backup plan to directly to Cloud storage will the existing files backup by second backup be deleted by new backup plan or will it be coexist together ?

Current backup plan is : Server > First backup (NAS) > Second backup (unlimited acronis cloud)

Hello ! Welcome to the forum!

I would like to tell you maybe this topic is in the wrong subject because the Acronis Cyber Files Cloud just allows you to backup to the cloud. Local backups aren't supported.

If you are talking Acronis Cyber Protect 15 or Cyber Protect Cloud, yes you can add the cloud as a second location. Note that both backup files will be exactly the same but totally independent. One will be located in your NAS and the other in the cloud storage. The name of this process is replication.

Please refer to the following KB for more details: https://kb.acronis.com/content/56193

Let us know if this answered to the query!

Cheers.

Hello !

If you create a new plan the old backup file won't be affected it will remain in the Cloud storage unless you delete it.

But note that if you create a different plan a new backup file will be created. To continue the old one you should follow this KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/59725

Thanks!
