Dear Acronis Community,

please be aware of a new update for Acronis Cyber Files (formerly Acronis Files Advanced).

Acronis Cyber Files 8.9.0 (Released: October 5, 2022)

Overview

With this update, Acronis introduces one new feature and addresses issues found in the previous releases.

Enhancements

  • Cyber Files Server 8.9.0 supports syncing User Folder Bookmarks across iOS devices running version 8.9.0 or higher.

Fixed issues

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Desktop Client starting after a MacOS upgrade to 13.

  • Fixed an issue where the server stops responding.

  • Fixed an issue that prevents upgrading older server versions to 8.7.0 or 8.8.0.

  • Fixed the dialog title when uploading folder.

System requirements update

  • Acronis Desktop Client version 8.9.0 adds support for Windows 11.

  • Cyber Files 8.9.0 requires a minimum of PostgreSQL 9.4. If your PostgreSQL installation is version 9.3 or earlier, please upgrade it. The Cyber Files 8.9.0 installer can optionally install PostgreSQL version 11.6.3. We recommend doing so. You can refer to our documentation section entitled Same-server Upgrading of Acronis Cyber Files for guidance.
