Cyber protect 15 + Gdata Total Security

Thread needs solution

Hello,
I use Cyber protect 15 to backup my PC,
and when i installed it i already and still use Gdata total security.

I know Cyber protect add a security layer but i wonder if there is not a problem between these 2 applications.

Sometimes at start some applications have problem to connect to the web.

So, is it ok to use Cyber protect 15 + Gdata Total Security ?
Is there a way to use Cyber protect 15 only for backup and disable security part (If possible, I'd like to keep the software management function that advises on patches and warns of vulnerabilities) ?

Regards.

Hello Pascal.

Welcome to the forum!

If you prefer to use Gdata please add following program folders to your list of exclusion or white list: https://kb.acronis.com/content/36429

Please refer to the following KB with the explanation for that scenario: https://kb.acronis.com/content/65310

** If your machine is already protected with a third-party antivirus at the moment of applying the Antivirus & Antimalware protection module to the machine, the system will generate an alert and will stop the on-access protection in order to prevent potential compatibility and performance issues. You will need to either disable or uninstall the third-party antivirus, in order to enable full-functional Antivirus & Antimalware protection.

If you want to keep using the third-party antivirus, disable Antivirus and Antimalware Protection in the protection plan or use a default protection plan Office Workers (third-party Antivirus) **

If Antivirus & Antimalware protection is disabled but conflicts between antivirus software and Cyber Protection Agent still happen, contact Acronis Support to investigate the issue https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Feel free to update the thread if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Please edit the plan and disable the security modules you don't need ( https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberProtect…
