Retention Backup Old Plan

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have Acronis Cyber Protect 15 running with backup for almost 1 year.

I have a Plan A backup, then rename it to Plan B and Plan B using the backup name the same as Plan A.

What I was curious about is that retention backup from Plan B is not applied to the backup because it still has Plan A name. Because of this, I need more space for backup storage and now I have 45TB of storage.

Thanks!

Dullz

Dear Trisdaresa Sumarjoso,
Thank you for reaching out. It is not quite clear whether you have created a new backup plan, or simply renamed your old backup plan. If you simply renamed your old backup plan, then this should not affect the cleanup / retention rules at all. In that case I would recommend you contact our customer service. However, if you have created a new backup plan and wish to use the old backup archive, then you need to explicitly specify the old archive's name in backup plan options: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/CyberProtectionService/index.html#backup-file-name.html
