Delay before Windows 11 login screen after sleep when Protection turned on

Thread needs solution

With Acronis Protection turned on, my Windows 11 22H2 PC takes 30 seconds or so to show the login screen after waking from sleep. When it does, the mouse cursor is also sluggish. With Protection turned off, login is shown after a second or two (13600K, SN850X). This is 100% repeatable.

I'm using ACPHO build 40338. Perhaps it's just one aspect of the protection suite that's causing issues, but I've disabled it all until I have a solution. Can anyone shed any light?

Matthew, this is interesting. I have seen the same sort of issue on latest build of Windows 11; although I am on insider build. Have not had that issue with other PC, but they do not go into sleep mode.

Update: Just remembered the other PCs have have Norton 306 so AV module is not active. So it does replicate this behaviour.

Hello!

Welcome to the forum.

The issues with advanced features require further investigation.

I have raised a ticket, the reference number is 06014356. You can expect a contact from our support as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance!

I narrowed down the issue to the "Detect malicious behaviour in processes" setting specifically, within the Real-time Protection section. You can leave RTP on, as long as that option is deselected, and the PC wakes up as normal.

Hello Matthew. Thanks for updating the thread.

I would like to ask you to reply to the email our support sent you with that exact same answer so the team can be aware.

Thanks in advance!

Woke up my PC this morning, with RTP turned off, and web access works as normal with no delays. I can only assume it was the cause of the issue.

With two separate issues, and (from looking at another thread) the last three releases of the software having issues with RTP, it seems the solution is to just turn off this functionality. I'll use it as a disk imaging tool, which it's very good at, but stick with the experts for AV.

Also, why does every post on this forum need to go through lengthy moderation? How are people supposed to get timely, interactive help with problems when messages are delayed by 24 hours?

My update above will be confusing, as it refers to a problem that hadn't been stated. I had made an earlier post, but it seems to have got lost in moderation. In any case, the issue was that when the PC was woken in the morning (i.e. after having slept for many hours), the PC's Internet connection wouldn't work for several minutes (it was unaffected if the PC had only slept for e.g. an hour).

This had occurred after enabling RTP again, with the 'malicious processes' option turned off. After disabling RTP, when I woke it from sleep the next morning, all worked as normal.
