How to delete history of Active Protections's "Detected vulnerabilies" ?

Thread needs solution

Active Protection keeps the list of Detected Vulnerabilities, even if they are no longer topical. I don't need to be informed about VLC vulnerabilities that have been patched ages ago.

Is there a possibility to delete this list and to let it scan to see what is an issue right now? It seems that it can't be done from the program (or I did not find it).

Kind regards,

Thorsten

Thorsten, if you show the list of detected vulnerabilities then there is an option button to Run Scan now in the lower right corner, this will clear the list and repopulate with any remaining issues.

Hm, this does not happen in my case. When I rerun the scan then the same vulnerabilities appear again. E.g., entry CVE-2019-12874 still appears after rescan, although it only applies to VLC up to versions 3.0.7 - and I have version 3.0.18 right now! To further test this I deleted my VLC installation (meaning: I put it in a password protected zip container and removed the files in the program directory), but after rescan all the VLC vulnerabilites appear again.

What is the problem here?

I can only suspect that the scan is finding an older copy of VLC on your computer somewhere other than where the later version was installed?  I have seen similar behaviour from other programs in the past!
